The luminaries (PANIBEAM)

RLS70

The heart of the B&B Cine Reflect Lighting System is a precisely engineered and accurately designed reflector combined with the narrow shape of an short arc HMI lamp and only this unique luminaire will provide the quality of light needed for such an application.

The biggest luminaire available, the sun, sends out light that is almost perfectly parallel. In order to achieve a similar and as-close-as-possible effect, a luminaire with a parallel beam is needed, a technique not yet available in the film lighting industry.

The luminaire is available in 2 versions:
- The RLS-70, powered by a 1,2kW lamp
- The RLS-40, powered by a 800W lamp

The difference between both fixtures is mainly the diameter of the beam, 70 cm for the first and 40 cm for the second mentioned unit. This largely influences the quantity of reflectors that can be used in a single beam of light, while the brightness itself remains comparable.
The smaller dimensions of the 800 W luminaire facilitate the use of the system in narrow, original locations.

The reflectors (PANIFLECTORS)

reflector plates

The quality of the light - from hard to soft - and the precisely defined shadows are achieved through the use of the calculated reflectors.

Seven different types of reflectors in various sizes, available in vertical and horizontal shapes such as ellipses, circles, beams or arcs, provide the neccessary tools for any lighting application.

Most of the time, no additional shutters, flags or filters are required, which reduces the amount of gripping equipment, but also greatly improves the efficiency of the entire system.

peak light reflectors

Due to the unique design and the amazingly parallel beam, the Cine Reflect Lighting System is the only system that permits the combination of multiple reflectors of the same or of different kinds. Therefore, multiple reflections can be used to either extend the reach of a beam, transport it around corners or narrow openings, split it and work with several single beams or create new or stronger effects by cascading the reflectors.

The desired intensity of light is controlled by the size of the reflector and, for a very fine adjustement, by dowsing the reflector into the parallel beam. This spares the use of different luminaires or dimmers.

The zones and areas to be lit can precisely be controlled and designed.

The supports (PANIGRIP)

mounting acessory

The reduction in size and weight that has been achieved with the lighting equipment itself should also be continued in the grips: standard supports, compatibility to normal systems can be kept, no complicated constructions are needed any more.

The flexibility gained in the lighting process is extended to an increased flexibility on the whole set, that translates into huge savings of the production time, shipping costs and last but not least a smaller lighting crew.
